Governors Club Information
About the Club
A private club, Governors Club was incorporated in February 1989 by the original developers of the community. On January 1, 1997 ownership of the Club and its facilities was transferred to the Membership. General Manager Haissam Baityeh and his management team run the Club with input and oversight provided by an elected Board of Directors. Amenities and Activities The focal point for the community is the 27-hole Championship Golf Course, a Jack Nicklaus designed Signature Course. Additional golf amenities include a driving range, chipping green, practice bunker, and several putting greens. The Golf Staff, led by Head Golf Professional Tim Eckstein, offers lessons and clinics for every age and skill level. With a variety of tournaments planned each year, as well as Women’s, Men’s and Couples Golf activities, opportunities for both social and competitive play abound. The Head Tennis Professional leads year-round social and competitive tennis programs, lessons and clinics at the Club’s Tennis Center. The Tennis Center features lighted Har-Tru clay courts and a fully-stocked Tennis Shop with racquet-stringing service. The Club’s Fitness and Swim Center is located adjacent to the Tennis Center. The Fitness Center features cardiovascular and weight-training equipment and a variety of fitness classes including Yoga, Pilates and Aerobics. With both Indoor and Outdoor Pools, swim lessons and Water Aerobics are offered year-round. The Outdoor Pool features a gated toddler’s pool, designated lap lanes, and a spacious deck with lounge chairs, dining tables, and large shade umbrellas. The Pool Grill offers a variety of sandwiches, salads, snacks and beverages. The heart of the Club is the 42,000 square foot Clubhouse. Housed within this grand building are the Mixed Grill, Ladies’ and Mens’ Locker Rooms, Grand Ballroom, and Meeting Rooms. The Mixed Grill and Patio is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday-Saturday. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served on Saturday. Breakfast and lunch are served on Sunday. With both Member Favorites and seasonal items, the Grill’s menus offer something for every appetite. Special Grill Events, such as Lobster Night and Oktoberfest, are planned throughout the year as well. Social Events Children’s Events Club Membership The Club offers three levels of Membership, all of which are described in greater detail below, as well as an Advantage Golf Membership for Princiapl and Associate Members under the age of 40. Golf Membership
Tennis Membership Entitles Member and Member’s family to unlimited use of the tennis, fitness, pool and social facilities. Tennis Members are extended their choice of Limited or Unlimited Golf Privileges, a one-time designation which must be made at the time of application to the Club. Tennis Members must pay a Green Fee and may only use the golf practice facilities when such a fee has been paid. Tennis Members may not participate in Club-sponsored or organized Golf Organizations or Tournaments, with the exception of the Strings and Pings Tournament.
Social Membership Entitles Member and Member’s family to unlimited use of the fitness, pool and social facilities. Social Members may use the tennis and golf facilities six times per calendar year. br>
